Marian
Licha (AFTRA, SAG, AEA) is an actor/ playwright and narrator. She has
most notably performed the role of Ofelia at Arena Stage for “Anna in
the Tropics” directed by Jo Bonney. Most recently, she performed her
original solo-show “Frida Vice-Versa” at The Corner Store and at the
Going Solo Festival sponsored by Horizons Theatre to sold-out audiences.
She also sold-out at The Capital Fringe Festival of 2006. A finalist
at The One Festival performed at La Tea Theatre in NYC and also performed
at The Coconut Hill Latino Playwright Festival in NYC. She has been
commissioned by Horizons Theatre in Washington, D.C. to write a play
about Immigrant Mothers and Daughters. Other acting credits include:
The Imagination Celebration tour sponsored by The Kennedy Center with
“Maggie Magalita”, “The House of Bernarda Alba”, “Dna. Rosita the Spinster”,
“No Exit” and The House of Atreus. She has played principal roles in
NBC’s “Homicide”, “Unsolved Mysteries” and Fox TV’s “Americas Most Wanted.”Marian graduated from George Washington University with an acting degree and a master’s degree from New York University in Educational Theatre. Her acting skills were further developed at The Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute and at The Second Studio for Actors in NYC. She has performed her storytelling program, A Magical Journey into Latin America at The Kennedy Center, The National Theatre, The Capital Children’s Museum, The Museum of American History, and schools and libraries in the Washington |
